Anatomical Pathologist

Doctor Marius van der Walt


Dr. Marius van der Walt qualified at Stellenbosch University under and postgraduate. After spending several years in the United Kingdom specializing in cytology and working at IALCH, he was actively involved in teaching cytology and running workshops as well as Fine Needle Aspiration clinics. He looks forward to taking JDJ Diagnostics to new levels in the area of Cytopathology.

Microbiologist

Doctor Yogandree Ramsamy


Dr. Ramsamy is a medical doctor with a specialization in Medical Microbiology. She is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Antimicrobial Research unit and holds a Masters and PhD in Medical Microbiology. Her research and areas of speciality include antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship and carbapenem resistance in Enterobacterales.

Doctor Nimallen Naicker


Dr. Nimallen Naicker completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kwazulu-Natal in 2011. He conducted his internship at RK Khan Hospital and completed his community service at Prince Mshiyeni Hospital where he continued as a medical officer in orthopaedic surgery. After completing his surgical primaries he joined the Department of Anatomical Pathology at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. Here, he trained under Prof PK Ramdial and completed his specialist postgraduate qualifications cum laude. In addition to being a fellow of the college of medicines of South Africa, Dr Naicker also attained a masters of medicine at UKZN, focusing his dissertation on breast cancer.
